Introducing Coach Sarah Geuss

Every month we’ll be spotlighting a coach and for our inaugural post, we’re happy to introduce you to Sarah Geuss. Sarah has a passion for all things strength-training and loves to dead lift and bench press in her spare time. Check out Sarah’s full bio here.

When did you first get hooked on fitness?

I come from a very fitness-driven family so I've been working out for a while! I remember sitting on the end of my dad's bench in his home gym, eating dry cheerios while he lifted. I joined my first soccer team when I was 5 and later found strength training in middle school.

Favorite exercise to teach/coach:

Deadlift! And all styles of dls. They're so fun once you've got form down and feel good. For those not as barbell inclined, I love teaching pushups. We all hate them but we can all do them with a little practice.

When I'm not in the gym, you can usually find me...

…standing in the kitchen, eating. 

Personal MO:

Do what you hate until you love it. For example - PUSHUPS! I used to hate them until I got really good at them. It's all about dedication, time and energy. Often, we limit ourselves by the things we don't like or feel like we can't do. It's all mental. Second MO: Tell yourself you can do something, and you will.
